Where Is The World Headed?

Greetings everyone, this will be my last entry until after the Feast of Tabernacles. I wish you all a very blessed and meaningful Feast, wherever you go. I have uploaded two new articles to the site: Will I Be There? and The Scapegoat. I hope that you are blessed by them.

The world’s economic and financial institutions continue to spiral out of control. Where it will all end up is a mystery at this point. Is there significance to these things that are happening? I believe there is. At any rate, we are to be watching and paying attention to what is going on in the world. In Luke 21:36 we are told to watch and pray always.

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi stated that world leaders are considering closing down the world’s financial markets to rewrite rules of international finance. Are the financial institutions of the world headed for centralized, global control? Read the story

On the bright side, oil continues to decline rapidly as demand drops and economic indicators point to a continued decline due to economic factors. OPEC is scheduled to convene an emergency meeting to discuss the falling prices. Oil fell to $77.70 on Friday with other petroleum products seeing a drop in price as well. Read the story

Global financial chiefs met in Washington DC Friday, trying to work out a solution for the global financial markets. Repeated calls are being made for global regulation. Read the story

Some market analysts predict that the DOW will continue to fall, until it has lost a full 50% of its value. That would place the DJIA somewhere around 7,000 by the time that the smoke clears. Read the story

Is Capitalism dead? The nationalization of the US banking system will effectively kill the free market. The American financial system will be in control of the government, instead of private business. Read the story

Connecticut becomes the third state to legalize gay marriage. Another state Supreme Court has ruled in favor of gay marriage. Connecticut now joins California and Massachusetts in recognizing and sanctioning same sex marriages to take place. The traditional marriage, between one man and one woman, is being rewritten before our eyes. Read the story
